Gingerbread House Preschool Illness Policies

To keep our students healthy we need the cooperation of our parents.

WHEN TO KEEP YOUR GBH STUDENT AT HOME:

Students should not attend school if they have symptoms such as: 

  • Sore throat

  • Cough or breathing difficulty

  • Muscle pain

  • Fever or sweats or chills

  • Diarrhea, nausea and/or vomiting,

  • Abdominal pain

YOUR GBH STUDENT MAY RETURN TO SCHOOL WHEN HE/SHE:

  • Has had no fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for a minimum of 24 hours without use of medications

  • Strep Throat: on antibiotics for at least 12 hours and fever-free for 24 hours

  • Conjunctivitis (pink-eye): On antibiotic eye-drops and fever-free for 24 hours
